Sadhbhavana Little Scholars

Sadhbhavana Little Scholars is a world class pre-school curriculum developed by a simon-pure research team from the house of Sadhbhavana. The curriculum emerged from the philosophy that the early years are the most significant time in the life of an individual which moulds him/her and sets the path for all his/her future endeavors. The Little Scholars curriculum encourages individual expression, balanced development and creative thinking. It also provides a structured well-defined pedagogy that ensures effective teaching learning practices and experiences that are in tune with the different learning levels of each child. In Sadhbhavana World School, Sadhbhavana Little Scholars curriculum is followed from pre-school (ages 2 to 4) right through kindergarten (ages 3.6 to 6).

CRETT

The Centre for Research in Education & Teachers Training - CRETT is a joint initiative of the Kerala Academy for Skills Excellence (KASE) and Sadhbhavana Group, and was conceived with the vision to empower educators with 21st century skills. CRETT aims to provide relevant training to educators in conformation with contemporary needs and vitalities affirming quality and excellence. To keep pace with the rapid developments and to cater to multifaceted needs of a knowledge based society, CRETT offers a multitude of opportunities providing exposure to rich educational training experiences to its aspirants, empowering them with the latest knowledge and skill sets for forging global excellence.
CRETT, through its endeavors, aims to ensure that the transformed, re-profiled and quality educators are placed in the best schools across the nation and the world, directly and by partnering with other organizations of repute. The institution aims to blaze a lasting trail of passion for scholastic and non-scholastic and other activities for setting benchmarks in the educational arena.

COSS CLUB

Sadhbhavana strongly believes in imbuing a value driven life, which is the soul of education that leads to the peaceful coexistence of society. Unless our students are given the opportunity to touch lives and feel the society and make their own meaning from those experiences, they may end up as doctors or engineers ... but not necessarily doctors and engineers who will impact lives of many in the future. As a small step towards imbuing value into our students, we have initiated the Community Outreach and Social Skills Club (COSS CLUB). The spirit of this movement is to bring the soul of education back in to schooling. It primarily focuses on the social and humane content of education which definitely is missing in today’s school scenario. The Club designs and implements projects in diverse areas like entrepreneurship, agriculture, research, city navigation, health, relationships, racial equality and environmental conservation. By involving students in community outreach projects, the Club achieves the twin objectives of emotional learning and social upliftment.

Early Childhood Association, India

The Early Childhood Association (ECA) is an NGO set up in order to bring together all people, institutions and organizations dealing with young children under one umbrella. It is a platform for them to discuss, deliberate, learn, share and connect to qualitative practices in early childhood education. Sadhbhavana World School is associated with ECA through its early childhood education program Sadhbhavana Little Scholars. Sadhbhavana’s CEO is the Territory Head of ECA – Kerala chapter.

Imparting Life Skills through Computer Science Education

Computer Masti (CM) (‘Masti’ means fun in Hindi) is a program to teach computer science in schools. It is currently being used by 400,000 students spread across India. CM addresses the need for an active computer learning through a cutting edge Computer Science core curriculum. It is a collaborative product of IIT Bombay and IN Open Technologies. Computer Masti Learning Solutions constitutes of graded Text Book (or eBook) with support of Teacher Training, Handholding and Assessments. The Program is available for CBSE, ICSE, IGCSE and SSC Boards.

Key Points

  1. The inception of Computer Masti (CM) has come about at a critical juncture when there was a visible need for a standard Computer curriculum, trained teachers and quality instructional material.
  2. Fun and Engaging Content. It solves one of the primary barriers to boosting science-related college major i.e. lack of interest.
  3. CM uses Scaffolded learning. Real-life problems always have more than one path to a solution that students learn best by doing, and that curiosity should drive exploration.
  4. CM adopts a constructivist pedagogical approach, which encourages the characters to keep asking questions, and to explore on their own. Learning is contextual and idiosyncratic.
  5. The content apart from teaching the computer literacy skills, also teaches others concepts like stepwise thinking and logical reasoning.

At Sadhbhavana, we believe that a well-informed student will have an upper hand in today's fast paced world. To encourage and bring in an interest in GK, we have adopted the Global Awareness Program (GAP), India’s first focused general knowledge initiative to create, enhance and sustain awareness levels with respect to global happenings and current events. The General Knowledge text is changed every month thus ensuring our students are updated on crucial current events around the world. The GAP textbook, Gaptopedia is followed from Grades I-VII.

Wordsworth English Language Lab

The partnership between Sadhbhavana and Wordsworth English Language Lab aims at developing English language proficiency among students to enable them to communicate with clarity and confidence. It offers the best in terms of continuous evaluation, content, teaching expertise and methodology. The methodology is a blend of Instructor Lead Training (ILT) with a Computer Based Training (CBT) practice and evaluation. The sessions are designed so that the course follows a parallel-structure in which concepts are introduced in the ILT session, and reinforced with practice and an innovative approach to learning in the CBT session.
